Bonita (Bonnie) K. Bardash, 81 of New Castle passed away the morning of June 12, 2024 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Bonnie was born October 3, 1942 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Harry McCullough. Her mother Vera Teece survives at home. Bonnie was married to Paul Bardash. They were married on May 8, 1965 and were married for 59 years. He survives at home. Bonnie attended Independence Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Shenango High School, class of 1960. She continued her education at Youngstown State University with a double major in Accounting and Economics.
Mrs. Bardash was a self-employed tax accountant. Bonnie was an avid music enthusiast, and a music director for several different choirs. Among those were Sweet Adeline’s, Children’s Choir, and Vacation Bible School choir. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping with her family, playing the slots at casinos all over the United States. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren and great grandson Gabriel.
In addition to her mother Vera and husband Paul, Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Linda (William) Bardash-Holland; brother, Larry McCullough; and sister, Linda Simons; two grandchildren, Trenton Paul (Alyssa Parson) Shaffer, and Kaitlyn Rose (Devon Leasure) Shaffer; great-grandson, Gabriel Paul Shaffer.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebekah Bardash.
Visitation will be held on Monday June 17, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle. 16101
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Fredrick Gilbert, Pastor of Independent Methodist Church will officiate. A procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. for Oak Park Cemetery where committal prayers will be conducted.
