The Huayra R has a 6-speed sequential transmission newly developed for the car, and various weight saving measures have resulted in a lower dry weight of 1,050 kg (2,315 lb).

Still, that may change, since Pagani has a history of acquiescing to the requests of private collectors seeking a one-off or limited-edition model. With only 40 production models planned, the Huayra is rare and magnificent.

In Quechua, "Huayra" symbolizes the God of Wind, a deity deeply revered for wielding immense power and influence over the elements.

Every other Huayra uses a Mercedes-Benz twin-turbo V12, but the R gets a HWA-tuned naturally aspirated V12, which develops 850 PS, more than any other Huayra.

A set of staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels come wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Slicks. This is a track-only machine, after all.
