Pagani today pulled the cover off of one of its most-expensive series production models to date: the Huayra Roadster BC. With a whopping $3.5-million price tag (at today's exchange rate), this Huayra reinvents the hyper-roadster segment with over-the-top styling, a raucous, powerful engine, and impressive stats. And we're not just talking price, either.
Powered by a 6.0-liter AMG V12, the Huayra Roadster BC pumps out a monstrous 800 horsepower (596 kilowatts) and 774 pound-feet of torque. That's a modest improvement of 50 hp (37 hp) and 36 lb-ft over the BC Coupe, which makes "just" 750 hp (560 kW) and 738 lb-ft comparatively from its V12. All that additional oomph transfers to the rear wheels via a seven-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox with a lightweight single clutch. The single-clutch setup, Pagani notes, is 35-percent lighter than the usual dual-clutch. That – plus lots of other impressive engineering feats – helps keep the curb weight to a relatively light 2,685 pounds (1,217 kilograms).

But it isn't just in a straight line where the BC Roadster excels. According to Pagani, the Roadster BC generates up to 1.9Gs of max lateral force in corners. The Bugatti Chiron, for comparison's sake, only produces 1.5Gs of max grip. Thank, in part, the Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires designed specifically for Pagani for the additional stickiness. Pagani doesn't have an official 60 time, but given that the coupe gets there in about 2.5 seconds, the Roadster shouldn't be far behind that.
Expect the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC at its first public showing in Monterey Car Week next month. But buyers better got to ordering; Pagani says it will build just 40 examples of the extreme roadster.

CSR2 will celebrate the Huayra Roadster BC with an 80 race ladder that players can enter using a Pagani Huayra Coupé, which will be gifted to all players of the game. During the event players have a chance to add the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC to their collection. As a final reward, players can win the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta, to complete their Pagani collection. Using augmented reality, players can also park their Pagani cars in their real-world driveways and open every panel to study the details close up.
