On Netflix's Wednesday, Jenna Ortega plays the tough and hilarious Wednesday Addams, the iconic character who loves anything related to darkness and misery. The TV series asks what would happen if the Goth adolescent attended a boarding school full of outcasts who have special powers, and the first season was a huge hit. Now that fans are waiting for Wednesday season 2, one big change could make the new episodes even more thrilling than the first eight.
Wednesday uses her intelligence and intuition to solve the mystery of the first season, and every moment is an entertaining thrill ride. Although she worked alone in the first season of the TV show, Wednesday season 2 could be like the Scooby Doo franchise and could feature Jenna Ortega's character working with a team to solve the new mystery.

Wednesday season 2 will feature this character more regularly, and there are some storylines they could be involved in.
How Can Wednesday Work With A Team In Wednesday Season 2?
While she isn't in any Nevermore cliques, Wednesday Addams should become friendly with one character from each clique. Since there are four cliques with many complex and interesting characters, this would give Wednesday allies with magical abilities that she doesn't have. While she is psychic, she needs to lean on the others so they can shapeshift and turn into vampires and werewolves. If everyone worked together, they would most likely be stronger than the stalker, which would result in a powerful Wednesday season 2 finale. While it's unclear if the stalker has any powers of their own, it's still necessary for Wednesday to have allies who are on her side.
It's also easy to imagine Wednesday being the leader of a team since she is a tough character who doesn't suffer fools or listen to anyone else. She would enjoy telling everyone what to do and letting them know what her master plan is, even if it might be the wrong one. While the first season has too many YA tropes and Wednesday's personality is similar to many high school characters in pop culture, Wednesday has stayed true to who this Addams Family member is. Although no one likes a bossy person, the other characters would listen to Wednesday because they think she's captivating and smart. She manages to be likable, which would allow her to be in charge.
If Wednesday season 2 was inspired by the Scooby-Doo characters, this would bring some lightness and humor to what will otherwise be a darker season of the Netflix series. The Scooby Gang is made up of smart Velma Dinkley, loveable Daphne Blake, goofy Fred Jones, and silly Shaggy Rogers. This group works so well since each character has a distinct personality and brings something different when trying to solve a mystery. Wednesday has unique characters ranging from siren Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday) to Wednesday's good friend Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), and they would encourage each other to locate the stalker.
Finally, Wednesday season 2 should show Jenna Ortega's character working with a team because Addams Family fans are used to Wednesday Addams being a loner. There's a fine line between changing the character too much and making sure she feels familiar enough. While she would still prefer to be by herself, she does connect with some other characters in the first season of the show. It makes sense that as Wednesday gets older, she wants to find a community and feel more accepted.
How Did Wednesday Solve The Mystery In Wednesday Season 1?
Wednesday finds out that Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) is the Hyde Monster in Wednesday season 1 by accident. However, she uses her intelligence and intuition to continue her search for the truth. When Tyler and Wednesday kiss, Wednesday has a vision of Tyler hurting therapist Dr. Kinbott (Riki Lindhome) as the Monster. Although not everyone agrees with Wednesday having a romance, at least this allows her to get closer to the major villain of season 1. She realizes that Marilyn Thornhill (Christina Ricci) manipulated Tyler into becoming the Hyde because she wanted to hurt the Nevermore Academy students.
Alfred Gough, the co-creator of Wednesday, explained more about the Hyde Monster to Netflix.tudum.com and said:
“Even in the outcasts’ world. Hydes are something to be feared and, frankly, are not welcome because they are so unstable.”
Wednesday was able to solve the mystery when no one else could thanks to her psychic abilities, but she went one step further and trusted herself to figure out the entire situation. Since the character has already proven that she can have visions of important things going on around her, Wednesday season 2 should show her powers in different ways. This will keep the magic from feeling stale and would be intriguing.
